l found a kebab recipe l wanna try for dinner tonight. It requires grilling the meat for 4-6 minutes to cook it. l live in an apartment and do not have a grill, and do not intend to buy one anytime soon. Is there any way l can cook them using the stove or oven? Will they turn out the same?
If l baked them in the oven, would l have to add more time? How much?
l like it well-done.
What is a broiler, how do l use it? Lol l do not have much experience with this stuff.

Alternative to grilling

Place rack highest to the top of broiler. Broil at 500 degrees for 5 minutes or so. Keep a constant vigil or your meat will burn.

Alternative to grilling

The broiler is a setting on ur oven. Specifically, there is a burner at the top of ur oven. It is used to cook things fast at a high heat (same thing a grill does).

Another nifty tool that u can get is a grill pan. It is a skillet that has raised ridges on it that will give whatever you're making 'grill marks.' It is cheaper & easier to clean than a Foreman grill, & available anywhere that sells pots & pans. I use mine all the time for steaks, chicken, & even grilled cheese.

Use your oven is broiler.

Alternative to grilling

you need to either use a jenaire indoor grill or better yet broil it.

Alternative to grilling

You can Pre bake them in the Oven and then just put 'em under the Broiler before you serve them !!!!

Alternative to grilling

You can saute them in a frying pan on medium-high heat with a little oil so they do not stick. Cook them to your preference - do you like rarer meat or well done?

Alternative to grilling

maybe you could put the kebabs under the broiler for 2 or 3 minutes each side ..
or if you have George Foreman grill, you could use that.
